I have a side x side GE refrig modeal GSS22WGMB. The ICE FLAT door does not close after dispensing ice. I am told that this is a GE defect and they should replace for free if within 5 years of purchase. Are you familiar with this problem?

You are one of thousands of GE refrigerator owners in more than 5 states with this problem. GE just replaced 1000+ GSS models in a community in Naples FL for this and other related problems. Also, a class action suit has been filed on behalf of all GE fridge owners. You can find more information at:
