I have a Bosch SHU 53 model dishwasher. I cannot begin a test sequence — no matter what control buttons I press, when press the power button, the same lights/indications are always displayed:

’0′ time left on the cycle
‘Power Scrub Plus’ cycle selected (light on)
‘Sanitized’ indicated (light on)
‘Refill Rinse Agent’ light dimly lit

So it ‘appears’ that the dishwasher is at the end of a ‘Power Scrub Plus’ cycle. But no event will change the status (power on or off ,door latched/unlatched, other cycle buttons pressed.)

Is there any way to ‘reset’ the control panel? (I tried unplugging the unit for several minutes and plugging it back in — same lights remain on.)

If you have a Hotpoint DWF 31 or simiar, see the PDF below, as it appears to be the same controller & procedure, but the buttons have different names – you can work it out from the diagrams in the PDF.

I ran the test but my fault code is not listed here 9.9. What does this mean?

That indicates a fault with the NTC temperature sensor. We can get into details of what this means, how to test it, and how to fix it in the repair forum-- start a new topic in the Kitchen Forum.

Thank you for this post, but please help. I ran the test cycle, and at the end, the Regular Wash light was flashing (about 1x per second). What does this mean?

I have the SHX43P15UC model. It’s brand new and seems to be the current “entry level” model without a display.
