Recurring and Intermittent F1 Error Code on a Whirlpool / Kenmore Oasis Washer

A Sublime Master at the Samurai School of Appliantology recently did battle with one of these newfangled Oasis washing machines. The F1 error code was intermittent, which made it impossible to troubleshoot. Turns out there’s a service bulletin out on this problem.
