Looks like we’ll get enough of a break in the rain today that Ouzo and I can squeeze in a hike. We’ll head out to Pillsbury State Park in Washington, NH. My favorite trip is Bear Pond Trail up to the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway and then head north to Lucia’s Lookout, one of my favorite places on the planet. We’ll come down the Five Summers trail, which should be nice and muddy this time of year, especially after all this rain we’ve had. And I can already feel the sting of the skeeters and black flies, ahhh!
wanted to head up to Gorham, NH, to recon Moose Brook State Park and do a hike up there in preparation for my friends from Texas, Mike and Dina Owens, coming up for a visit next week. We’re going to day hike Mt. Washington just like we did with the Hillstompers last year. Another day.
