User Friendly Link of the Day
That would be yours so very truly and Fixitnow.com. Yes, grasshoppers, after an exhaustive evaluation of all the other Samurai appliance repair websites across the entire internet, UserFriendly.org today announced that Fixitnow.com has emerged as the clear choice for the User Friendly Link of the Day for November 25, 2003. And so it is with a renewed commitment to the Bushido of appliance repair that we here at Fixitnow.com, myself together with all my alter-egos (usually kept sedated with liberal quantities of the sacred fermented grain beverage), display the UFLOTD emblem with gratitude and deep humiliation…humility, I mean–with deep humility. Domo Arigato.
President Linkin’
And now, for your surfing pleasure, the Samurai presents a new page of links to home improvement sites, appliance repair resources, and B.O.S.S. member sites. This new page has such an impressive and dynamic collection of links that The New England Journal of Medicine has dubbed it the President Linkin’ of webpages.
Here’s linkin’ at you, kid!
Brave New Look
Yes, it’s a brave new look but it’s still the same Fixitnow.com you all know and love. The sprucing up started with the new logo and the rampage has continued ever since. The latest eyeball tickler is the links table at the top of the page. The re-organized links are now accented by outrageous pastel colors along with a brief explanation. And the Appliantology Group now has a similar table.
In my relentless quest to make it easy for my grasshoppers to find the appliance repair information they need, I’ve added a new page, Samurai’s Appliance Fixit Shack, where I store my pearls of appliance wisdom, all yours for the taking. When you’re ready to pop a cold one and get to work, come on in to the Fixit Shack.
Forum Problems
Several members of the Appliantology Group have reported that they’re unable to post in the repair forum. I’ve sent a bug report to Microslop and am hoping to resolve this soon. In the meantime, if you have an appliance repair question, email me using the Live Person box in the right-hand column and I’ll help you via email.
Lookin’ for Love in All the Wrong Places
Having trouble find the appliance wisdom you seek here at the muthah of all appliance repair websites? Despair not! Try the new, enhanced search utility. Yes, grasshopper, the new and improved search utility now includes the contents of Fixitnow.com and the Appliantology Group, including the accumulated threads of appliance wisdom in the repair forum. Go ahead, give it a try. Seek and ye shall find!
New Logo for Fixitnow.com
Check out the new logo. Pretty slick, ey? The old logo served the site well for many moons but, in the end, I just got freakin’ sick of looking at it. Actually, Mrs. Samurai got sick of looking at it first and started harping on me to change it. Those graphics gurus at Logobee.com designed the new logo for me. They were an utter joy to work with: quick turn-around on revisions and fast answers to questions I couldn’t decide. If you need a logo, any kind of logo, click on over to Logobee.
New and Improved Live Help!
The Samurai’s wildly popular Live Appliance Repair Help program just keeps getting better and better. Now, in addition to live online chat, you can get help via telephone, too. Either way, you’re getting expert, personal help directly from me, Samurai Appliance Repair Man.

New Appliance Repair Links: Air Conditioners and Dehumidifiers
Just in time for summer, I’ve added two new appliance repair links to the main menus here at Fixitnow.com, the Appliantology group, and at Moostafa’s Mecca of Appliance Repair. The links are for air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Both these links have very helpful interactive diagrams as well as a full selection of parts for all major brands. Check ’em out!
Live Help Update
I was online earlier this morning doing live help and then had to go do some real work. When I returned, I realized that I had left the status to “online” even though I wasn’t here. So if you clicked for live help, you’d wait and wait and no one would ever come online. Hey, I’ve committed far worse infractions and you’ll be just fine, so chill out.
But I really will be online for live help this evening. Later, dude.
Forum Update
The repair forum at the Appliantology group is back up and open for bidness. Many thanks to my good friend, Moostafa, for nourishing my precious grasshoppers with his own special brand of appliance wisdom in his repair forum.
Also uploaded new pics in the refrigerator and dryer repair photo galleries. Check ’em out.
Forum Update
The repair forum at the Appliantology group is currently down for maintenance. In the meantime, my dear friend, Moostafa, has graciously agreed to assist all my grasshoppers seeking appliance repair help in his very fine appliance repair forum. Allahu Akbar!
Live Help Update
I’ll be online this evening and available for Live Help. If you see a face in the Live Person box in the gray column on the right hand side, that means I’m online and you can click it for Live Help. If you’ve already purchased a Live Help Session or a Live Help Subscription, just identify yourself as such and we’ll get to work fixing your appliance. If you haven’t purchased Live Help yet, you can do so here. Talk to you later!
